Urge US Embassy in Tel Aviv to issue Lubna Masarwa’s visa immediately

Dear Friends,

Lubna Masarwa, Palestinian activist, is scheduled to speak at the Al-Awda conference in Anaheim, California this Saturday, April 30 but the US Embassy in Tel Aviv still hasn’t issue her visa.

Please write to urge them to issue the visa.

Send the sample email or your own version to
nivtelaviv@state.gov and put “visa emergency” in the subject line.

Dear Embassy Visa Staff:

Lubna Masarwa, a Palestinian citizen of Israel who is a well-known and highly respected human rights advocate and organizer has been invited to the United States to speak at a conference and to visit American friends who love her dearly.

The date of the speech is April 30th and Ms. Masarwa needs her visa immediately so she can travel in time to make her speech.

Ms. Masarwa is recognized as an important and influential voice for nonviolence, and just a few months ago was working at the European Union in Brussels. Ms. Masarwa visited the US in 2009 and in 2010 was issued a 10-year visa. Please issue her visa without delay.
