GAZA, May 23 (KUNA) — Israeli armed troops Sunday attacked one of the largest camps set up by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on the shores of Gaza Strip.
An agency spokesman, Adnan Abu Hasna, told KUNA that the attack on the camp took place in Sheikh Al-Ajlan area in eastern Gaza.
“The destroyed camp was among camps that organize ’summer games’ for Palestinian school children,” he added. The UNRWA camps also offer educational programs, music, art, and physical education activities, he noted.
The UNRWA organizes coastal summer camps to help alleviate some of the tension Palestinian children have to suffer due to their living conditions.
