Beaucoup d’informations nouvelles qui montrent à l’évidence que la brutalité et l’arrogance de l’occupation israélienne suscitent une indignation qui touche des sphères de plus en plus larges.

Au point que même le gouvernement français qui avait annoncé son intention de s’abstenir à l’UNESCO, s’est senti obligé de voter pour l’adhésion de la Palestine en tant que membre de cette institution !

 Aux Etats-Unis, occupation par des « indignés » du consulat israélien de Boston. Et à l’université Wayne de Détroit, réception de choix pour un porte-parole de l’armée israélienne

 En Suisse, des dizaines d’artistes viennent de s’exprimer publiquement pour rejeter la politique israélienne et annoncer qu’ils ne participeront à aucune des manifestations culturelles organisées par l’occupant israélien

 En Australie, Alstom a perdu un énorme contrat du fait de sa participation au tramway colonial israélien. Et Veolia, qui transporte les colons dans des bus ségrégués à l’intérieur de la Cisjordanie, et ramasse leurs ordures pour les déverser dans des décharges palestiniennes, n’est pas en reste.

 En France, des manifestants ont dénoncé les crimes israéliens pendant la coupe européenne de foot féminin qui se tenait à Troyes (vidéo de 2 mn sur :
http://www.europalestine.com/spip.php?article6578), et dans le stade de France pendant un match France-USA.

 Des Canadiens et des Irlandais courageux ont défié à nouveau le blocus de Gaza et montré au monde entier leur détermination face au terrorisme israélien.

 En Afrique du Sud, vient se tenir le Tribunal Russel, qui a fait le travail ignoré par les grandes institutions internationales, en qualifiant et condamnant les crimes de l’apartheid israélien.

En Israël même, des centaines de journalistes ont manifesté ce dimanche contre les atteintes aux liberté de la presse.

Pour la première fois, une association israélienne, l’ICAHD, porte plainte devant l’ONU contre les crimes israéliens. Et une grande manifestation est prévue ce mardi soir à Tel Aviv contre les nouvelles mesures de répression qui s’abattent sur les militants, les ONG qui dénoncent la colonisation israélienne. Car le gouvernement d’extrême droite israélien, dans sa fuite en avant, est obligé de s’en prendre désormais également aux Israéliens. L’ancienne soldate Anat Kam a été condamnée à 4 ans et demi de prison pour avoir procuré à un journaliste israélien les preuves des assassinats « ciblés » de l’armée israélienne en Cisjordanie. Une radio trop critique a été fermée ce dimanche.

Et parallèlement Israël multiplie les raids aériens sur la bande de Gaza, blessant y compris un diplomate français et sa famille (quelles sanctions de la part de la France ?), ainsi que les rafles et les agressions en Cisjordanie.
Pas un seul jour sans que des Palestiniens des régions de Bethléem, Ramallah, Naplouse ou Jenine ne soient kidnappés. Y compris des enfants, comme Ahmad 9 ans, Abdul-Rahman 12 ans et Mutas 13 ans, enlevés à leurs parents dans le village de Al-Sakira et emportés vers une destination inconnue par l’armée. Armée qui ne bouge pas quand les colons, de plus en plus fanatiques, agressent les fermes, oliveraies et mosquées palestiniennes, en taggant « le prix de la vengeance » partout où ils commettent leurs actes de terrorisme.

Mais les Palestiniens poursuivent leur résistance, inlassablement. A Bi’lin, chaque semaine contre le mur de l’annexion, malgré les gaz lacrymogènes, les blessés et les arrestations.

Entre Ramallah et Jérusalem, mardi dernier, 6 « Freedom Riders » palestiniens ont pris d’assaut un bus réservé aux colons sur la route de contournement conduisant à Jérusalem et devant des dizaines de caméras, ont rappelé la lutte des Noirs américains contre la ségrégation, dans les années 1960.

« Nous sommes aujourd’hui puissants, et l’Histoire est de notre côté », affirme Susan Abulhawa, auteure palestinienne des « Matins de Jenine ».

Et comme vient de le redire Stéphane Hessel, au micro de RTL : "Nous ne nous pouvons plus nous contenter de nous indigner, nous devons nous engager".

Dear Friends,

Recent events clearly show that the brutality and arrogance of the Israeli occupation are sending shock waves around the world, sparking outrage affecting circles that until recently, did not feel too concerned.
So much so that even the French government which previously announced its intention to abstain in UNESCO, felt compelled to vote for the accession of Palestine as a member of this institution !

 In the United States, occupation of the the Israeli Consulate in Boston by « indignant » activists. And Wayne University in Detroit, had a « special » reception for a spokesman of the Israeli army
 In Switzerland, dozens of artists announce publicly that they reject Israeli policy and that they will not participate in any cultural events organized by the Israeli occupier
 In Australia, Alstom has lost a huge contract because of its’ participation in the colonial Israeli tramway. And Veolia, which transports settlers in segregated buses in the West Bank, and picks up their trash and dumps it in Palestinian landfills, is also feeling the heat.
 In France, protesters denounced Israeli crimes during the European Cup feminin soccer tie in the town of Troyes (video 2 mins go to : http://www.europalestine.com/spip.php?article6578), and in the Stade de France in a match opposing France and the United States.
 Canadian and Irish activists again bravely challenged the blockade of Gaza and showed the world their determination to fight Israeli terrorism.
 In South Africa, the Russell Tribunal did the work that should be done by the major international institutions, qualifying and condemning the crimes of Israeli apartheid .

In Israel itself, hundreds of journalists demonstrated Sunday against attacks on the freedom of the press ; for the first time, an Israeli association (ICAHD) has complained to the UN about Israeli crimes ; a large demonstration is planned Tuesday night in Tel Aviv against new measures of repression against activists and NGO’s who condemn the Israeli settlements ; the right-wing Israeli government, with its’ back to the wall, is now forced to pick on Israeli citizens ; the ex-soldier Anat Kam was sentenced to 4 and a half years in prison for having supplied an Israeli journalist with evidence of « targeted » assassinations by the Israeli army in the West Bank ; a radio station that was too critical of the occupation was closed on Sunday.

In the meantime, Israel increases its’ air raids on the Gaza Strip, wounding among others a French diplomat and his family (were there any sanctions from France ?), while the raids and attacks in the West Bank continue. Not a day goes by without Palestinians being kidnapped in the areas of Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus and Jenin. Including children, such as 9 year old Ahmad, and Abdul-Rahman 12 and Mutas 13 years old, taken from their parents in the village of Al-Sakira and brought to an unknown destination by the army. The army doesn’t move when increasingly fanatical settlers attack farms, olive groves and mosques, leaving « the price of vengeance » painted on the walls wherever they commit their acts of terrorism.

But Palestinians continue their resistance, tirelessly. In Bil’in, every week against the wall of annexation, despite the tear gas, injuries and arrests. Last Tuesday, Between Ramallah and Jerusalem, 6 Palestinian « Freedom Riders » boarded a bus reserved for settlers on the bypass road leading to Jerusalem. In front of dozens of cameras, they aimed to follow in the footsteps of black Americans who struggled against segregation in the 1960s.
