Khaled était de ceux qui, au service des autres, par leur courage, leur désintéressement et leur dévouement sans limites, imprègnent celles ou ceux qu’ils rencontrent d’une trace indélébile ; j’étais de ceux-ci.
Au revoir cher Khaled.

بسم الله الرحمن الرّحيم
... « ومن المؤمنين رجال صدقوا ما عاهدوا الله عليه فمنهم من قضى نحبه و منهم من ينتظر وما بدّلوا تبديلا »... صدق الله العظيمkhaled bakrawi 2
بمشاعر ألم شديد و دموع غضب لشعب ذاق المر على مر السنين، و صرخات ثورة من دماء تسيل من أرضنا المسلوبة و مخيماتنا النازفة، تنعي إليكم حركة الشباب الفلسطيني استشهاد الأخ الصديق والزّميل، ابن قرية لوبية الفلسطينية المغتصبة، وابن مخيم اليرموك عاصمة الشتات « الشّاب خالد بكراوي » داخل سجن للنظام السّوري.
ننعي اليكم ومعكم شابا أفنى سنوات عمره القليلة والغنية في العمل من أجل فلسطين المحتلة وشعبها، فكان من أصدق الناشطين في ميدان النضال الشبابي بمختلف مواقعه خارج الوطن، ساهم بقوة في ترجمة اليات عمل حول تفعيل دور الشباب الفلسطيني والحفاظ على اتجاهه التحرري و رفع راية العودة عاليا و أصرّ عليها مرارا و تكرارا. بذل كل المجهودات في التّخفيف من معاناة شعبنا الصامد في مخيم اليرموك، فكان نعم الداعم و المغيث لأهلنا، و أجرأ من لبّا النداء فدفع حياته ثمنا لمبادئه الوطنية النقية، فذاك معدن الأبطال.
لأهله ... لزملائه .. و أبناء شعبنا في اليرموك و سوريا المتألمة و في اللجوء والوطن، كل التعازي. إننا و إذ نشارككم الحزن، ندعو الله عزّ و جلّ أن يحتسبه شهيدا، و يتغمده فسيح جنانه
موتي شهادة في زنزانة الإعتقال فصبرت صبر سنين ... و حياتي حياة عز في جنة علّين
نعاهدك أن نواصل المسيرة والنضال على خطاك، وخطا كل شهداء الحرية، بعناد الثوريين وإرادة الأحرار حتى تحرير كامل التراب الوطني الفلسطيني.

Today, September 11, 2013, we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, khaled bakrawi 2 4friend and comrade, Khaled Bakrawi. Prior to his martyrdom, at only 24 years old, Khaled managed to warm the lives and hearts of everyone around him and serve his community profoundly. Born on July 26, 1988 in Yarmouk Refugee Camp in Damascus, Syria, originally from the village of Lubia, Palestine, Khaled played an integral role in bringing people together and struggling for justice.
During the 2011 commemorative action of al-naqsa, Khaled protested at the border of Palestine and Syria in the Golan Heights and was shot and wounded by the Israeli occupation forces. Though he suffered from a bullet wound, he remained steadfast on his struggle for return and liberation. Khaled partook in spearheading the work of both the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) and the Jafra Foundation for Relief and Development in Syria (Jafra). At the onset of the Syrian situation making its way to Damascus, Khaled played a critical role as one of the main organizers of Jafra working with the internally displaced who made their way to Yarmouk camp. Khaled worked indiscriminately to provide shelter, food and medical attention for all refugees. On January 19, 2013, Khaled disappeared from Yarmouk camp and was imprisoned by the Syrian regime and his whereabouts and status had been unconfirmed until today.
Khaled’s big heart and love for everyone never went unnoticed and his service to those in Yarmouk and beyond will never be forgotten. As the Palestinian Youth Movement grieves this loss we also would like to extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and every life Khaled has touched. His uplifting spirit will live on forever and we only hope that he is resting in peace and power alongside the many martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for justice.
