Communiqué ( en anglais en 2ème partie de l’article)

Chères amies, Chers amis

Bientôt la rentrée... sauf pour ceux qui sont déjà revenus de vacances, et ceux qui ne sont pas partis cet été. A commencer par les Palestiniens qui continuent à subir l’occupation, les emprisonnements, le vol de terres, comme à Jérusalem Est, où les expulsions de familles palestiniennes se poursuivent à un rythme accéléré.

Tandis que les médias annoncent la "reprise de négociations", les habitants de Gaza restent sans électricité, sans matériaux de construction et ceux de la Cisjordanie sont toujours privés de liberté, puisque l’occupant — souvent main dans la main avec ceux qui acceptent de collaborer— quadrille rues et villages, épaulant les colons israéliens qui se livrent à d’incessantes exactions. Figurez-vous que certains de ces colons, à Hébron, ont demandé (et obtenu !) que l’on entende moins le son du muezzin pendant le Ramadan, parce que cela les gêne !

Tandis que des soldat(e)s israéliens exposent sur facebook leurs basses besognes, leurs dirigeants s’agitent de tous côtés pour tenter d’endiguer la riposte internationale qui grandit : le boycott de l’occupant... y compris par des Israéliens qui s’opposent à ce régime fasciste. Vote à la Knesset au début du mois d’une amende de 30.000 shekels (environ 6.000 euros) pour tout citoyen ou organisme qui souhaitera s’engager en faveur d’un boycott contre Israël. Et aux Etats-Unis, certains sionistes font campagne pour que les principaux donateurs à Israël s’engagent désormais dans le boycott de l’Université Ben Gourion (Bersheva) coupable de ne pas révoquer ou exclure les universitaires (tel le Pr Neve Gordon) qui se sont associés à la campagne BDS. Il y a même, ces prochains jours, une réunion du "Congrès juif mondial" à Jérusalem (!!) pour voir comment contrecarrer cette vague de réprobation qui se matérialise par le boycott d’Israël. Hier encore, le ministère norvégien des finances a annoncé l’exclusion de deux firmes israéliennes de ses investissements, en raison de leur participation à l’occupation.

La consigne a donc été donnée d’engager des poursuites autant que faire se peut. En Grande-Bretagne, les attaquants viennent d’essuyer un deuxième camouflet. Après la relaxe des militants écossais ayant interrompu un concert du Jerusalem Quartet au printemps dernier, ce sont les responsables d’un magasin londonien vendant des cosmétiques AHAVA, qui ont perdu leur procès et ont dû payer les frais de justice cet été. Ils avaient attaqué des militants ayant organisé une action de boycott de ces cosmétiques (soi-disant "made in Israel").

En France, le dénommé Sammy Ghozlan, roi du chantage à l’antisémitisme, met les bouchées doubles. Il a déposé plus de 50 plaintes contre des militant(e)s qui participent à cette campagne internationale de boycott. Et comme on sait que le ministre de la justice de ce pays se permet de donner des ordres aux magistrats en leur demandant de donner suite à ses élucubrations, plusieurs procès vont avoir lieu dès cette rentrée :

- le lundi 13 septembre, à Mulhouse, 5 militant(e)s, appartenant à 5 organisations différentes, sont appelés à comparaître devant un tribunal, accusés d’"incitation à la haine raciale" pour avoir appelé au boycott de l’occupant israélien !
 le 24 septembre, aura lieu à Bordeaux le procès en appel de Sakina Arnaud, condamnée en première instance pour les mêmes raisons

Et ce n’est pas tout ! Car comme l’écrivent les supporters de la politique israélienne en France : "Quoi de mieux que de frapper ces trublions dans leurs portefeuilles ?"

Au lieu de nous intimider, ces procès seront l’occasion de montrer notre solidarité, notre coordination nationale et internationale, et l’élargissement de cette campagne de boycott, qui est la seule riposte non-violente efficace, en l’absence de toute intervention de nos dirigeants pour faire respecter le droit international et la justice.
On peut voir sur internet des actions de boycott similaires se dérouler dans un nombre croissant de pays, proches et lointains : en Belgique, en Italie, aux Pays-Bas, en Grande-Bretagne, mais aussi aux Etats-Unis, au Canada, et en Australie.. et ce n’est qu’un début !

Le BDS Tour que nous avons organisé en juillet, dans 15 villes de France, en coopération avec les comités locaux, a montré l’intérêt du public pour ces nouvelles méthodes de lutte pacifique. Dans toutes les villes, les amis, les familles, doivent se mobiliser pour dire "Moi aussi, je boycotte". Soon the return home…except for those who have already returned from vacation and those who never left this summer. Beginning with the Palestinians who continue to suffer the occupation, the imprisonment, the theft of land, as in West Jerusalem, where the expulsion of Palestinian families continues.

At the same time as the media announces the “resumption of negotiations,” the residents of the Gaza Strip remain without electricity, without construction materials, and those in the West Bank are still deprived of freedom since the occupant – often hand in hand with those who accept to collaborate- survey streets and villages and support Israeli settlers who incessantly commit acts of violence. Imagine that certain settlers, in Hebron demanded (and it was accepted !) that during Ramadan the sound of the Muezzin should be reduced because it bothered them !

At the same time as Israeli soldiers expose their lowly acts on Facebook, their leaders are active everywhere, trying to bury the growing international response : the boycott of the occupier…including by Israelis who are opposed to this fascist regime. A vote in the Knesset at the beginning of the month would impose a fine of 30,000 shekels (about 3000 euros) on each citizen or organization which wishes to engage in the boycott against Israel. And in the United States, certain Zionists are campaigning to have the principal donators to Israel boycott Ben Gurion University, guilty of refusing to exclude those teachers (such as Dr. Neve Gordon) who are associate with the BDS campaign. There will even be in the next few days in Jerusalem a “World Jewish Congress” to see how to thwart the wave of reprobation, which has materialized in the boycott of Israel. Yesterday the Norwegian minister of finances announced the exclusion of two Israeli investment firms due to their participation in the occupation.

So orders have been given to pursue boycotters as much as possible. In Great Britain the attackers received a second slap in the face. After the release of the Scottish militants who had interrupted a concert of the Jerusalem Quartet last spring, it was the directors of a London store, which was selling AHAVA cosmetics who lost their trial were obliged to pay the legal fees. They had attacked the militants who had organized a boycott of the products so-called “made in Israel.”

But in France, Sammy Ghozlan, the king of anti-Semitism blackmail has been working twice as hard. He has filed over 50 complaints against militants who have participated in the international boycott. And, as we know that the minister of justice in this country allows herself to give orders to public prosecutors by demanding that they follow up on his ranting, several processes are taking place at this time :

 Monday 113 September at Mulhouse, 5 activists belonging to 5 different organizations must appear in court, all accused of “incitation to racism” for having called for a boycott of the Israeli occupier !
 On 24 September the appeal of Sakina Arnaud, condemned in the first instance for the same reasons will take place in Bordeaux.
And that’s not all ! As the French supporters of Israeli policies have written, “What is better than to hit the trouble makers in their wallets ?”
Far from intimidating us, these trials are the chance to show our solidarity, our national and international coordination, and the growth of the boycott campaign, which is the only efficient non-violent response in the absence of any attempt on the part of our leaders to make international rights and justice respected.

One can see on the Internet the development of similar boycotts in many countries near and far : in Belgium, Italy, Holland, Great Britain, as well as the United States, Canada and Australia, and this is only the beginning !

The BDS tour, which we organized in July in 15 cities in France, in coordination with local committees, showed the public interest for these new methods of peaceful struggle. Many thanks to all parents, children, young and less young of all origins, who helped to make that wonderful demonstration !

Direction now towards a widespread, coordinated action on Saturday 11 September in support of the 5 Mulhouse activists, not leaving them isolated. And to organize the financial aspects, an initial day of solidarity is organized for Sunday 29 August from 14h00 to 20h00 at the Librarie Résistances in Paris in the face of the legal expenses engendered by the process : sale of books, crafts, paintings and photos.

Another rendez-vous will take place on the following weekend (4-5 September) at the big rummage sale in Lille at the BDS stand !
