Statement

The bolivarian government of Venezuela rejects the new aggression against the Venezuelan people by the declarations of a representative of the Government of Israel, given on November 3, 2009.

This is an additional demonstration of a disrespectful, meddling and aggressive attitude that characterizes the international rightists and the violence of the campaigns permanently deployed against peaceful peoples and governments like Venezuela’s.

The Israeli government has no moral to talk of “advanced bases” of other countries in Latin America, for they are, after the United States, the main weapon suppliers, technical advisors and mercenaries for war policies and destruction encouraged by the international rightists in the territory of our brother and neighbor Colombia, having terrible and uncountable human losses.

Although the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Venezuela highlights the respectful relations with the Jewish community, it has no choice but to reaffirm the impossibility to maintain diplomatic relations with a government denying to recognize the atrocious crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinians, as documented, among others, by the United Nations Goldstone Report on the barbarism in Gaza in 2009.

The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterates that it will keep supporting relations of friendship and cooperation with the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as long as they are oriented to the benefit of the peoples, peace and fraternal coexistence in a multi-polar balanced world, and are a concrete and model demonstration of constructive dialogue among civilizations.
