=================================================

On January 21, the second shipment of humanitarian aid sent by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela arrived in Egypt with nearly 80 tons of medicines, food, drinking water, clothes, and thermal blankets for the Palestinian people.

The Venezuelan Boeing 747 was received in Cairo by the Venezuelan Ambassador Victor Carazo and Minister Chancellour Cesar Mejias. The aid will then be sent by land up to the Rafah Border Crossing, 400 kilometers away from Cairo, and it will be delivered to the authorities of the Egyptian Half Red Moon.

The shipment has been coordinated by the Bolivarian and Egyptian governments through humanitarian international organizations authorized to transport these supplies.

This is the second shipment sent to African lands in less than one week. The first one carried 12.5 tons of aid, mainly medicines, and landed on Cairo on January 15.

This aid embodies one of the expressions of the Venezuelan government and people to support the Palestinian people and the determination of the Bolivarian government to continue strengthening peace and fraternity among governments.

The Egyptian government has been definitely cooperative since it has channeled the aid to help mitigate the shortage suffered by the Palestinian people.
