The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) published on Wednesday, 30th October 2013, a video footage shows Israeli soldiers arresting two terrified Palestinian boys in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron (Khalil).

An international activist in the video repeatedly said, « He is eleven years old, he is too young to be arrested. He is under 12 years old, he is too young to be arrested. »

According to ISM, the Israeli forces fired stun grenades toward the schoolchildren before grabbing and taking the 10-year-old kids, Noor and Mohammed, to a nearby police station.

The detained kids were transferred to the Palestinian District Coordination Office (DCO) after about an hour.

Activists in the video said that detaining children is illegal, even according to Israeli law.

The group said the children in Hebron are routinely harassed and arrested on their way to school without just cause or reason.
Human rights groups condemn the Israeli continued brutal actions against the Palestinian children and called on the international community to intervene to stop the Israeli arrest and detention of children which violate the international humanitarian law.
It’s worth mentioning that hundreds of Palestinians under the age of 18 are currently held in Israeli jails. These children are subjected to mistreatment and torture during their interrogation and detention in Israeli facilities.
